Well, last weekend I think marked my peak in training for the half marathons coming up this fall. I ran short routes during the week and ended with a 12 mile run on Labor Day. Went pretty well. I did not have any real issues with my side and legs felt good afterwards. Pace was slower, probably somewhere around 8:30, but around what I will be trying to shoot for during the actual races.
This week looks like I will continue to crossfit and stick with shorter runs. I am thinking about a 7-10 mile run this weekend and then a very light week next week leading up to the Air Force Half on the 18th. I know Jordan is out; Brett, did you get signed up for the Air Force half, or am I running solo? If you did, we need to get together for the race.
Hope every one's training is going well. I talked to Brad on Sunday and he is doing fine... not sure about his training though... I think work is owning him right now, considering he called me at 5:00 a.m. Phoenix time, on a Sunday, and he was at work. Hopefully he will be able to get on a training regiment soon.

Birch- I am signed up for Columbus half.
ReplyDeleteThe 18 week training for a marathon starts this Tuesday the 14th. Ready to start marking of runs on a calendar. The longest run of the year is set for Christmas...so that might have to get moved a few days.
I will start adding more blogs, once I log some "real" runs
